How long will it get updates?
Apple has typically supported iPhones with iOS updates for about seven years. On that pattern, the iPhone 14 (released 2022) has roughly 3 more years of updates. That's our estimate, not an Apple promise.

Worth knowing
With the base iPhone 14, Apple redesigned the inside so the back glass can be replaced on its own. That's why it costs $159 here instead of $399 on the iPhone 13.
It uses the same A15 chip as the iPhone 13, so performance alone isn't a reason to upgrade.
